Twelve people have been killed in a bus crash on the road between the Siberian cities of Irkutsk and Chita.
The Transbaikal region's Health Ministry said on June 12 that the death toll was raised from 11 after an injured woman died on the way to the hospital.
State-run TASS news agency quoted a medical official as saying more than 30 people were also injured in the crash, which occurred shortly before midnight on June 11 when the bus overturned.
Authorities said the bus -- with 51 people aboard -- was carrying Russian Orthodox pilgrims who had been taking part in a procession at a monastery and a visit to a convent in the region.
TASS quoted a local official as saying roadwork was being carried out near the site of the accident.
Governor Natalya Zhdanova said the Transbaikal region will hold a day of mourning on June 13.
